CHIEF SECURITY OFFICER: SECURITY, TRAVEL AND VETTING SERVICES 3 POSTS REF NO: COO20/2015 SALARY : R195 177 per annum (all inclusive remuneration package of 280 735 p.a.) CENTRE : Pretoria REQUIREMENTS : Applicants must be in possession of a Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification which is NQF level 4 accompanied by Grade B PSIRA accredited qualification. A Grade A” PSIRA accredited qualification will be an added advantage. A relevant experience in CCTV, Access control and Key control. Relevant experience in security within the Public Service. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Strong leadership skills and self-discipline. Report writing skills. Decision making. Ability to manage, lead and motivate others. Organizing, planning and problem solving skills. Ability to function independently. Must be able to understand and execute regulations and policies. Computer literacy. Knowledge of relevant legislations: Criminal Procedure Act, Control of Access to Public Premises and Vehicles Act, MISS and MPSS. The candidate will be expected to travel and be prepared to work long hours from time to time. And must willing to work shifts. A valid driver’s license DUTIES : The successful candidate will:Administer physical security within the department. Assist with the administration of departmental keys. Administer the security system and equipment of the department. Conduct security audits and investigations of security breaches/ incidents. Advise management regarding security risks. Maintain and update all security registers Supervise and control security officers on shift. Draft and manage the monthly roster. Conduct educational security awareness within the department.
