GCC Mine Surveying · B. Degree in Mine Surveying or Advanced Diploma (NQF level 7) in Mine Surveying or National Higher Diploma (NQF level 7) in Mineral Resource Management · Member of IMSSA (Institute of Mine Surveyors of South Africa) or PLATO Minimum Seven (7) years' relevant experience in surveying in mining environment of which Five (5) years' must be in a management role · Demonstrate strong computer skills with drafting programs such as MicroStation,/Synchromine/Surpac/Modelmaker , People / Leadership: · Demonstrate behaviour in line with the Eland's Culture themes, standards and a professional workplace · Provide leadership to and develop the performance of your team in line with Eland's policies and systems (e.g., performance management, talent management) to achieve business goals. As part of this: - Develop a clear and aligned work plan for direct reports - Foster a constructive and productive working environment - Drive delivery of objectives including holding team members to account for their work and performance manage where appropriate Financial: · Develop, monitor and manage the budget for this area · Identify and act on any opportunities for improved cost management, drive delivery of objectives including holding team members to account for their work and performance manage where appropriate · Strong communication skills (verbal and written) · Provide management/leadership and guidance to the Survey function and its employees · Valid drivers license · Medical Certificate of Fitness Compile legally compliant mine plans aligned with Department of Mineral Resources' requirements · Prepare accurate tonnages and grade of mined material in order to deplete the various mineral reserves · Perform Ore accounting reconciliations · Management of stockpiles, weekly and monthly reconciliations · Compiling, designing of reports and plans appropriate to the Surveying function · Compile and monitor internal ore reserves as per classification · Compile monthly, quarterly and annual reports as required · Compile monthly safety reports and ensure compliance with safety standards, guidelines, policies and procedures · Conduct research, document and implement best practice survey standards and procedures · Ensure legal compliance on SOP's, PTO's and risk assessments · Ensuring mining processes, policies and practices are compliant with relevant statutory requirements · Develop and manage own team performance · Commit to developing and maintaining a safe work culture Apply Now
