Civil Engineer (Registered) - South Africa
Responsibilities:
- Performing of various duties typically associated in the fulfilment of a project engineer position during the implementation of various bulk water supply, water network refurbishment and water conservation demand management projects.
- Successful candidate will get exposure to large multi-year infrastructure refurbishment and upgrading projects to the value of above R1 billion rand.
Duties will include:
- Development of technically sound deliverables associated with each stage of the project (Inception, Concept & Viability, Design Development, Documentation and Procurement, Construction Administration and Close Out).
- Managing each project in accordance with the company's Quality Management System.
Requirements:
- MS Office
Qualifications and Experience:
- BEng or BSc degree required
- Registered as a Professional Engineer
- Minimum 5 years' experience required working on municipal water networks.
- Experience in the following key aspects will be advantageous:
- Municipal water conservation demand management projects.
- Sound understanding of civil engineering construction contracts and management thereof (GCC, FIDIC Red / Yellow Book)
