Our client provides risk management services to automotive manufacturers and their marine insurers along with in-life vehicle fleet operators. Having a primary focus assisting the automotive manufacturing industry handling supply chain insurance claims and recoveries. Work as part of the Claims Specialist team, covering territorial area as first line contact for dealers and other customers who wish to register claims for damage. To ensure accuracy of data is maintained and claims are registered, administered and settled within agreed time frames.

Duties;

  • Knowledge and ability to approve repairs of large sums without referral to a Team Leader, in accordance with laid down processes for specific clients.
  • To manage claims within market driven KPI’s as confirmed in client procedures.
  • To ensure time lines and recovery opportunities are not missed.
  • Receiving claims from a variety of dealers and claimants in respect of newly built vehicle which have sustained damage on route to dealers or distribution centres.
  • Registering these claims into a dedicated database and workflow system within KPI timeframes
  • Using the material provided, assessing the responsibility for damage and alerting carriers of their responsibility
  • Liaising with and supporting colleagues to agree which claims can be approved and which need disputing
  • Monitoring claim progress working within agreed KPI timeframes
  • Registering claimant receipts of claim invoice
  • Producing reclaim demands based on claim information held and pursuing same
  • Updating the dedicated database with reclaim status changes
  • Liaison with and support for other role holders that interact with the claims handling process
  • Specifically: providing assistance in respect of document handling, database record updates and report generation
  • To manage own workload and always work within KPI timeframes set
  • To develop and maintain excellent working relationships with customers and colleagues across the Company

Required:

Matric with Related qualification

3 years experience in the insurance industry or inhouse at an OEM (automotive)

Knowledge of FICA

A solid understanding of the insurance claims administration processes

An organised and proactive approach that shows in excellent administration skills

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Good time management and organisation skills with the ability to prioritise work

Great problem solving skills with the ability to adopt a logical approach to resolving queries

Strive to deliver performance targets and drive business improvements to contribute to the success of the business
