Duties & Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in the logistics industry.
- Maintain and grow existing customer accounts secured by the executive, through effective relationship management and customer service.
- Follow up on new leads and referrals.
- Achieve sales targets and revenue goals.
- Prepare and deliver presentations to potential and existing customers.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing with customers.
- Collaborate with other departments, including operations and customer service, to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities.
- Provide regular sales reports and forecasts to management.
- Attend trade shows, conferences, and networking events to build relationships and promote the company.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Technical requirements:
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing customer accounts
- Matric
- Minimum 5 years relevant industry experience
- Import/Export/Cross Trade Air/Sea knowledge
- Previous experience with the Ship Shape system will be advantageous
- Proficiency using MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Excellent knowledge of Incoterms and all major trade lanes into South Africa.
