Cloud Security Manager - Gauteng
The main purpose of this position is to manage the Cloud Security Section within the Cyber Security Operations (CSO) Division and act as a liaison to the Business Solutions and Technology Department (BSTD) and business stakeholders to enable execution against cloud and emerging technology security controls and standards, across the Group. Detailed description Fulfil the line management function pertaining to the performance and development of the Cloud Security team. Compile sectional budgets and manage related contracts aligned with approved procurement and legal practices. Contribute to the development of the Cloud Security divisional strategy and take responsibility for the implementation thereof in support of of an overall BSTD strategy Take responsibility for the identification, mitigation and management of Cloud Security operational risks in accordance with approved risk management practices. Manage the environment in alignment with related security policies and frameworks and ensure the development and enforcement of the appropriate controls, processes and technical standards. Develop compliance measurements in the context of the Cloud Security strategy and enterprise architecture (EA) framework Provide guidance to business areas with the development and implementation of Cloud Security processes aligned to the security controls. Provide resource planning and ensure technical alignment within complex and large-scale programmes, projects and impact assessments. Develop and inform on business cases and acquire services for the provisioning of technology capabilities in order to meet and extend on identified Cloud Security business requirements. Influence and collaborate with divisional and sectional managers and technical team members such as security operations, software developers, cybersecurity engineers and systems administrators in support of business objectives. Manage the resolution of complex problems and incidents relating to Cloud Security. Research and keep abreast of new and changing Cloud Security solutions, regulations, policies and architectures and play a lead operational role in ensuring alignment. Liaise with vendors for purposes of product and technology review in support of ensuring the fit-for-purpose implementation of identified technologies in support of Cloud Security Manage the relationship between the operational and governance aspects of Cloud Security. Job requirements a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or an equivalent qualification Certified cloud or related security certifications would be advantageous Six to eight years’ experience in a management role within the IT industry One to three years’ job-related experience in a cloud and emerging technology security leadership position in IT.
