An established Precision Engineering Business based in Wellington, Western Cape is seeking to employ an experienced CNC Operator on a permanent basis. Responsibilities Examine detailed drawings or specifications to establish the job, material and equipment requirements. Program and set-up tooling in the CNC Turning and milling machine when manufacturing different components. Perform routine and preventative maintenance practices on existing equipment. Slotting or drilling metal stock or components. Ensure that the quality of work meets the required standards. Fit and assemble metal parts and tools or sub- assemblies. Set up and / or operate hand and machine tools. Check accuracy and quality of finished parts, tools or sub-assemblies. Qualifying Criteria Minimum Grade 12 education or equivalent Relevant Red Seal Trade Test certificate would be advantageous Minimum of 3 years relevant working experience within the engineering or metal industry CNC Turning and Milling operating experience is a pre-requisite Extensive knowledge of power tools Knowledge of Health and Safety Rules Sound communication skills (understand, read and write English) Must be prepared to work overtime when required Own transport Salary – R20,000 to R40,000 / month, depending on skills and experience.
