The CNC Operator will be responsible for setting up and operating computer numerical control (CNC) machines to produce precision parts for bulletproof glass components. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of CNC programming, machining techniques, and be able to ensure the highest quality standards in the production process. Machine Setup: Set up and prepare CNC machines for production runs, including loading and securing materials. Install and adjust cutting tools to achieve precise specifications. Programming: Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to develop CNC programs. Write, modify, and troubleshoot CNC programs to optimize production efficiency. Operation: Operate CNC machines to fabricate bulletproof glass components according to specified tolerances and quality standards. Monitor machine performance, making adjustments as necessary to maintain product integrity. Quality Control: Conduct regular quality checks on machined parts using precision measuring instruments. Identify and address any deviations from specifications, making adjustments as needed. Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines to ensure optimal functionality. Report and troubleshoot any mechanical issues promptly. Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent. Proven experience as a CNC Operator, preferably in a manufacturing setting. Technical Skills: Proficient in CNC programming and operation. Familiarity with CAD/CAM software. Attention to Detail: Ability to interpret technical drawings and work with precision. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Communication: Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to collaborate with team members and follow instructions. Problem Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve issues with CNC machines. Proactive problem-solving mindset. Physical Stamina: Capable of standing for extended periods and lifting/moving heavy materials. R50 per hour (negotiable)
