Unique Personnel boasts over 50 years (established in 1970) of personnel and staffing experience, so it's not surprising that even though our main focus has been providing on South African Staffing Solutions, we now recruit internationally for over 5000 clients Reporting to: National Operations Manager Purpose: Responsible for providing and applying technical and cold room expert advise advice for the purposes of costing, offering technical services, productivity, while ensuring all project related targets are met. Including full project management related to cold room installations (start to finish) including technical drawings, quotations, costing, installations, commissioning, after sale technical support. The successful candidate must be able to perform the following key tasks: Cold Room components (Mechanical, Electrical and Structural) calculation and selection based on technical, economical, and quality criteria. Standard specification creation. Identify, evaluate, compare & propose component suppliers. Cold room installations (start to end), supplier identification, development, negotiating with MSP’s. Project manage and apply technical support and costing structures for commercial offers related to cold rooms. Apply technical drawings knowledge. Communicate effectively with customers and respond to their requirements aimed at improving customer satisfaction. Team alignment for the proper maintenance schedule and operation. Provide fast and effective solutions in case of operational issues. Comply with and understand service agreements linked to customer SLA requirements and abide by SANS regulations. Understand, keep abreast of, and comply with local regulations & legislation that may affect the operations. Ensure new business set up and creating a sustainable cold room stream. Engage site surveyors/ landlord and equipment user. Manage productivity, decrease cold room operational service/s costs, and control overheads ensuring business needs are met. Monitor performance via specific performance measurement system and apply development. Follow up operation KPIs and target business excellence. Continuously evaluate to improve cold room services. Work experience and skills: At least 5 years: Refrigeration systems (Key focus of Cold rooms / Remote installations) Cold room equipment selection. Off-site cold room evaluation. Working within the auspices of SANS regulations. Refrigeration or FMCG/ HORECA and service market segment related function. Project management in a similar role. Customer and supplier expectations management. 3 years of working within a fast-paced, complex, dynamic, multi-cultural business environment Competency – Skills Good ability to manage a team of people on various employment levels. Able to work independently. Motivated and self-starter. Ability to read technical drawings. Project Management. Excellent computer skills- ERP, WMS, Excel, Electronic drawing programs. Proficient user of the English language. Effective negotiator. Numerate with strong analytical and problem-solving ability. Behavioral attributes Passion to win. Effective collaboration.
