A leading player in the food manufacturing industry is looking at a talented individual like you to join their KZN team as a Commercial Manager. As Commercial Manager, you’ll drive strategic decision-making and profitability enhancement initiatives. You responsibilities include providing strategic support to the Growth and Business Unit teams, offering insights into profitability, product feasibility, and innovation. You’ll identify process improvements and cost reduction opportunities for Customer and Customer Marketing to facilitate strategic decision-making. Your role also involves calculating accurate pricing information for negotiations to achieve product and channel profitability objectives and assisting in the budgeting and forecasting process, providing insights for mix optimization and profitability forecasts. Additionally, you’ll investigate opportunities for product costing and distribution efficiency, conduct reviews, and evaluate promotional spend effectiveness. Attending NPD meetings, ensuring proper processes are followed, and focusing on profitability enhancement are crucial aspects of the position. You'll review monthly profitability reports, manage incentives, and drive enhanced customer and product profitability information. Maintaining a matrix of product costing opportunities per customer and providing detailed analysis and recommendations for business changes are also part of your responsibilities. Furthermore, you’ll lead and develop staff in compliance with labour laws, monitor performance, and champion diversity and inclusion within the team. A Commercial Manager with the relevant Commerce degree, a CA(SA) or CIMA qualification, and 3 – 5 years’ experience (articled or otherwise), including commercial costing, people management, and exposure to processing and/or manufacturing environments will be our top choice So if you’re a motivated finance and business individual with a passion for driving commercial success in the FMCG industry, send your CV to NDC Personnel & Contractors.
