The main purpose of the Commercial Sales Assistant is to quote on all commercial new business received for the specific PM they have been assigned to. Quote Amendments, adhoc processing of commercial new business and loading new business is also required. Quoting for new business policies should be in accordance with prescribed guidelines. Overall quality of customer service delivery. Responsibilities: Commercial Quoting, amendments, process and issue new business and other admin duties Communicating and negotiating rates and premiums with brokers Evaluating and validating client's previous loss ratio and credit history Sending policy confirmations Maintaining efficient turn-around times Ensure adherence to prescribed underwriting criteria Compilation of closings Development of value adding relationships with brokers and internal staff Attaining individual and departmental sales targets Liaising with the Portfolio Managers in following up on quotes and new business Liaising with Technical Sales Manager on technical issues Requirements: Matric FETC (Further Education & Training Certificate) in Short Term Insurance – NQF 4 (150 credits) Higher Certificate in Short Term Insurance – NQF 5 or higher – highly advantageous Successfully passed RE 5 (Representative Exam Computer literate – Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Exposure to, or work experience on the TIAL Operating System (System A) – highly advantageous Sound knowledge and understanding of relevant short term insurance policy wording (Commercial Lines) Minimum three years relevant work experience in short term insurance sales (Commercial Lines Please note only shortlisted candidates will be contacted Desired Skills: Short term insurance Sales assistant commercial Employer & Job Benefits: Full company benefits Commission
