Our client based in Cape Town is looking for a Commercial Underwriter with experience at a short-term insurance brokerage and is FIAS compliant. A recent professional profile photo is to accompany your application EMPLOYMENT TYPE : Permanent SECTOR : Insurance BASIC SALARY : Market Related START DATE : A.S.A.P / Immediate REQUIREMENTS: A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Commercial Lines Underwriter (Medium to Large Commercial) A minimum of 3 years’ experience at a Short Term Insurance brokerage MS Office (Word, Excel) RE5 - Non Negotiable FAIS compliant Excellent customer service skills DUTIES: Take appropriate action to minimize cancellations Ensure retention targets are met Ensure that all stakeholder (e.g. clients, AE’s, insurers) communication is accurate, timeous, professional and relevant Build and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with internal and external stakeholders Ensure and contribute to achieving own and company required client satisfaction targets General Enquiries such as but not limited to cover, products, processes New Business, Renewals, Endorsements and Re-broke Cancellations Ensure productivity targets are met Adhere to company mandates Participate and contribute in ad hoc projects Keep accurate record of own activities Live the RBS values Ensure continuous self-development Ensure objectives of own development plans are achieved Ensure productivity and quality assurance targets are met HOURS: Mon – Fri: 08:00 – 16:30 Should you meet all the requirements, apply on our website at www.statusstaffing.com today.
