Our client who is a well known in the Alcohol sector is currently seeking a dynamic Commercial/Marketing Analyst to join their team in Cape Town. Based in the Southern Suburbs, you will play a key role in analyzing market dynamics and identifying strategic opportunities.
Role Overview: As a Commercial/Marketing Analyst, your primary objective will be to conduct comprehensive market analyses, providing critical insights to support informed decision-making and strategic planning.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Market Analysis:
- Evaluate market conditions and trends to guide strategic decisions.
- Synthesize extensive data from internal and external sources to derive actionable insights.
- Translate analysis into clear, insightful reports and presentations.
- Sales and Marketing Data Management:
- Support the assessment of customer and market performance through monthly sales reports.
- Analyze competitor data to benchmark our performance.
- Assist brand managers with brand-specific data for enhanced performance understanding.
- Prepare ad hoc sales incentive and charter reports.
- Ensure accuracy and quality of internal data, leveraging ERP systems and relevant tools.
- Presentation and Communication:
- Effectively communicate findings through professional presentations and reports.
- Provide concise one-page reports for senior management
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Qualifications: BCom Management Degree or equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in FMCG or Liquor Industry with robust data analysis exposure.
- Skills: Proficiency in Excel and statistical analysis; familiarity with ERP systems essential.
- Attributes: Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Traits: Detail-oriented with a passion for data analysis and creativity in problem-solving.
- Availability: Ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative, and manage extended hours as needed.
