Communications Coordinator - Gauteng

You’ll work closely with the OCL Advocacy Lead in all aspects of your job. You'll be responsible for creating engaging content, managing our digital communities, and monitoring social media for trends and insights. Additionally, you'll organise email campaigns, maintain our subscriber database, and collaborate with like-minded organisations. Your duties also include content development that aligns with our values, managing our blogs, and leveraging analytics to optimise our communication efforts. Your work will directly contribute to building a strong online community and increasing visibility for OCL's initiatives. Beyond this you will play a role in growing and supporting the community of practices launched by OCL.Responsibilities:Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy for both existing and new OCL platforms.Create and curate engaging, shareable content to enhance brand visibility on OCL’s website and social media channels.Design and send regular email newsletters that align with OCL's overall communication strategy.Foster a strong sense of community through various online channels and strategies.Develop, write, and curate blog content that aligns with the company's values and objectives, including managing blog content on OCL’s websites.Use multimedia content (text, images, video, music, etc.) to convey mission and product-related ideas that can engage diverse audiences, reflecting the African context.Use data-driven insights to optimise communication strategies for maximum impact.Work with OCL Domains and Product Owners in the logistics and communications of Community Practices and Toolkits.Qualifications and skills:Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.Proven experience in social media management and community building.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Familiarity with civic engagement concepts and urban development is a plus.Strong analytical skills and proficiency in social media analytics tools.Google Analytics and SEO experience and knowledge is a plus.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Creativity and a passion for staying updated on industry trends.Experience (or willingness to) be a part of a remote/hybrid working team.Experience designing and delivering proactive and reactive communications plans.Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, including stakeholder engagement skills.Knowledge of the media and social media landscape across South Africa with an established ne https://protool.gumtree.co.za/external-link-browser.html?urlaHR0cHM6Ly9lbi16YS53aGF0am9icy5jb20vY29vcG9iX19jcGxfX18xMzIwXzU2ODUwX180OTc/dXRtX3NvdXJjZT1ndW10cmVlJnV0bV9tZWRpdW09ZmVlZCZrZXl3b3JkPQ&jid1792803&xid1320_56850 Apply Now
