The Community Liaison Officer (CLO) is responsible to monitor and coordinate implementation of SED and EnD projects, facilitate engagement with key stakeholders and beneficiary communities, participate in local government consultative structures and report on all community related activities of the project. Conduct community needs assessments and map community assets • Identify key community stakeholders and role players in the development space • Identify and document community assets that would be critical in implementing development projects • Facilitate community needs assessment workshops with key role players • Assist in compiling reports on community needs and assets for input in strategy development Coordinate identification of Socio-Economic and Enterprise Development projects • Identify project opportunities through consultation with relevant stakeholders • Conduct beneficiary assessment and selection in partnership with relevant partners Coordinate Implementation, monitoring and evaluation of SED and ED projects • Monitor project Implementation • Coordinate meetings with all relevant partners to monitor and evaluate project implementation at agreed intervals or milestones • Assist with proper project hand over; and sign off is done for infrastructure projects Maintain grievance handling mechanism for each plant • Record and collate grievances and escalating to relevant departments/sections Compile monthly reports • Submit monthly ED and SED implementation reports • Submit monthly stakeholder engagement and grievance handling reports • Delivery of reports by due date General administrative support • Capture GSAMS payments • Coordinate ED team meetings and travel arrangements • Coordinate GSAMS SED/ED programmes And any other duties, as assigned by the line manager, in line with the role. Minimum Grade 12 certificate or equivalent NQF level qualification 2. Tertiary qualification or certificate in Social Science with a focus on Development Studies. 3. Minimum 2 years' relevant working experience in a similar role 4. Proven involvement and exposure to community development work 5. Valid driver's license and own vehicle.Excellent interpersonal skills 2. Ability to confidently liaise with a variety of stakeholders and service providers 3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills 4. High level of integrity 5. Intermediate MS Word skills and basic Excel and PowerPoint skills 6. Able to work independently, without requiring on-site supervision to execute tasks 7. High attention to detail, with good planning and organising skills 8. Able to work well within a team 9. Able to prioritize and able to take tasks to completion 10. Flexible and able to manage change well. Apply Now
