Compliance Manager, 3-year contract, Makhanda - Grahamstown


Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:

  • Relevant honors or post graduate qualification in audit & compliance
  • Five years relevant work experience in an audit / compliance portfolio within a government dept / entity
  • Practical exposure in a senior role related to audit processes
  • Hands on experience in a leading role with compliance reporting
  • Budget management & consulting experience
  • Good working experience and understanding of PFMA, Treasury Regulations, SCM and related Acts and prescripts
  • Practical knowledge & exposure to preparation and submission of compliance documents
  • Good English skills – written, verbal and report writing ability
The successful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to:
Â
  • Overseeing the implementation of strategic initiatives
  • Assisting in decision making pertaining to auditing plan, preparation and programme management
  • Develop / recommend structures & workflow processes
  • Review, design, and implement quality improvement plans
  • Ensure holistic compliance with systems and processes
  • Serve as document manager & control officer in CEO’s office
  • Report / ascertain whether the organization is regressing or progressing
  • Spearhead the progress of risk management
  • Serve as strategic driver in ensuring all dept’s integrate into their operations
  • Ensure reporting documents are drafted in relevant templates
  • Work closely with HR to ensure employee wellbeing and other broad matters

Salary: Â R467Â 670 CTC per annum for the contract duration
