Construction Manager/Site Agent - Pretoria

RPO Recruitment is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Manager/Site Agent to join our client's team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing construction projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Responsibilities Coordinate and manage construction projects, including planning, scheduling, and budgeting. Supervise and direct all construction activities on-site, ensuring compliance with construction plans, specifications, and safety regulations. Monitor and control project progress, making adjustments as necessary to ensure timely completion. Coordinate and communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and suppliers. Manage and control project budgets, including reviewing and approving project-related expenditures. Oversee the procurement of construction materials, equipment, and services, ensuring they are delivered on time and meet project requirements. Conduct regular site inspections to identify and resolve any issues or potential risks that may impact the project timeline. Ensure that all construction activities comply with relevant health and safety standards and regulations. Prepare and submit project progress reports to management and clients, highlighting key milestones and achievements. Requirements Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Construction Manager/Site Agent or a similar role. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Strong knowledge and understanding of construction processes, methods, and materials. Proven experience in managing and delivering construction projects on time and within budget. Excellent leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on delivering successful outcomes. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders. Proven ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Proficiency in construction management software and tools. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to various project sites as needed.
