Content Operations Manager - Cape Town Region

Job title: Content Operations Management Overall Job description: Help make their clients become recognised as thought leaders and experts in their field across our fast-growing client base worldwide (UK, Europe, Asia, Middle East, North America). A bit about their clients: Their clients range across many sectors, with concentrations in fintech, software, and media agencies. Their services include lead generation, brand awareness, lead nurturing, and employee advocacy. Their older clients tend to focus on the former, sales-oriented objectives, and to be smaller businesses - but today they are focusing on larger organisations, pursuing the latter, marketing-oriented goals. More about being a Content Operations Manager: Content Operations Managers are a key part of their client delivery teams, which ensure that customers receive ROI from their service. This role is to ensure that we produce content for LinkedIn that accurately reflects our clients’ interests, specialisms, and personalities in a way that will attract and appeal to their target audiences. This involves briefing and managing a team of freelance writers around the world (as well as writing some copy themselves) to ensure that they deliver great content every time, on time, and in line with all of our internal and external workflows. Content Operations Managers need to be LinkedIn enthusiasts , always ahead of the curve in knowing what’s trending, what generates the most engagement, and able to convey this clearly, quickly, and thoroughly to colleagues. They are also exceptionally well-organised, able to co ordinate multi-part workflows and streamline them over time. Responsibilities and Duties breakdown: Account Management Determine client needs and build an actionable content strategy for the delivery team to act on, communicating actions and outcomes to the client Plan, schedule and oversee client content-focused communication, build very strong relationships Publish content on LinkedIn for clients where needed Recognise client pain points and find solutions to resolve them Help to identify any client who could be ‘at-risk’, put together a plan to retain them Perform basic troubleshooting for clients, work with the delivery team on more complex challenges Support clients who have a range of understanding of LinkedIn and who are not confident about their personal profiles being used by others Maintain complete records of client interactions and actions in line with our project management and Asana guidelines and best practice Teamwork Work with writers and Account Managers improve templates, messaging and posts Work with internal client teams to ensure your clients achieve success, leading ad-hoc calls when required Share best practice across departments, inputting into team group training Recruiting, training, and managing the most suitable freelance writers for client needs - within budgetary constraints Developing and improving processes for freelance writers Knowledge Understand, and help to develop the Pitch121 positioning and messaging Learn and grow within Digital Marketing, develop your LinkedIn skills Develop expert knowledge of social selling, benefit from knowledge sharing across the business Coach writers on LinkedIn best practice and produce internal training materials Innovation Challenge our status quo, suggesting new processes when appropriate Suggest product / service improvements based on client feedback Consider business needs and practical requirements when suggestion innovations Essential Skills & Experience Exceptional organisational and Project Management skills Fluent English spoken and written Experience in various styles of B2B copywriting Confident interviewer who can take comprehensive briefings and brief others in turn Understanding of the principles of social selling Confidence to work with business owners and experienced marketing professionals Willing to challenge when required, confidence to communicate at C-Level Negotiation skills to push back on clients in a professional manner when required Strong attention to detail Self-starter who anticipates customer challenges and addresses them Desirable Skills & Experience Experience of using LinkedIn for business purposes Experience of CRM systems and project management systems - in particular Asana Video editing and design experience with SaaS tools (eg Canva) Location: South Africa based, remote work.
