Komatsu is seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineer with extensive mining experience to join their dynamic CI & AM team. The successful candidate should have a B. Degree in Mechanical or Mining Engineering with at least 6 years experience within the mining and construction industry. SUMMARY DESCRIPTION OF ROLE: Manages the planning of CI initiatives Manages the release and training of machine ICT tools developed by OEM Leads CI project teams and facilitates information transfer Updates KSA's database of local and Global CI projects for learning and benchmarking purposes Adds value to customers operations e.g. conduct site investigations, application studies focussing on cost/ton reduction initiatives Prepares graphical representations of operational data Supports CI Dept. activities in compiling monthly reports Supports operational staff in troubleshooting machine ICT system issues through technical support and guidance Supports operational staff in reaching their Komtrax Plus monthly download objectives Trains operational staff and customers on Komatsu machine ICT systems. E.g. EQP-Care, Real Display, PLM Reports on project KPI's and tracks progress Tracks and reports machine ICT system issues Checks and monitors data integrity of machine ICT systems Collates information and reports on CI activities Reports machine ICT system issues and corresponding actions QUALIFICATIONS: B. Degree in Mechanical or Mining Engineering EXPERIENCE: 6 – 10 years' mine site application engineering experience. SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS: MS Office Suite – Particularly Excel (Master) KSA systems - Komtrax EQP Care and Business Objects Valid Driver's license D3
