Contract Administrator - Stellenbosch

Key Areas of Responsibilities:

  • Daily processing of purchase and sales contracts.
  • Contract management, including receiving contracts back from clients.
  • Managing open contracts.
  • Updating pricing sheets for clients.
  • Processing of Safex deliveries and assignments.
  • Handling queries sent to Contract-Desk.

Minimum Professional Qualifications and Experience:

  • National Senior Certificate (Grade 12) with Mathematics Literacy and Accountancy as subjects.
  • Minimum 3 years’ similar working experience.
  • Agricultural experience would be beneficial.
  • Related tertiary qualification is an advantage.
  • Fluent in English and Afrikaans.
  • Intermediate Excel proficiency.
  • Experience using an ERP system.
  • Exposure to the Grains Industry.

Essential Skills:

  • Fundamental understanding of market terminals and trading environments.
  • Critical thinker with emotional resilience to overcome obstacles.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) in Afrikaans and English.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
  • Team player who can work independently.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment with multi-tasking skills.
  • Proactive and able to work under pressure.
  • Competency in Microsoft applications and web-based applications.
  • Aptitude for continuous system enhancements and automation.
  • Positive attitude and accountability.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

General:

  • Office based in Techno Park, Stellenbosch.
  • Reports to the Administration Manager.
  • Work model: Monday to Friday with ad hoc flexibility for working from home.
  • Seasonal activities/harvest runs from April to August.
  • December is financial year end.
