We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Contract Manager (Supply Chain) to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying opportunities, negotiating, and implementing long-term supply contracts and services. This role will primarily cover high-value commodities and services, focusing on cost control and minimizing commercial risks Identify opportunities for contracts within your specific profile and negotiate and implement these contracts. Manage the purchase of high-value commodities and services to control costs. Minimize commercial risk and reduce the supplier base. Scrutinize and develop the most effective sources of supply for commodity and service requirements utilized by various operations. Recognize and evaluate new sources of supply and alternative products. Manage the total cost of ownership of the allocated portfolio of commodities and services, achieving real cost benefits through effective source selection, cost analysis, and management of both suppliers and contracts. Communicate and coordinate purchasing activities within the procurement department and with other departments, factories, and suppliers. Maintain and update contractual documentation and relevant computer files for the portfolio of commodities and services. Manage and motivate subordinates. Matric/Grade 12 Relevant post-matric qualification in Supply Chain, Commercial Degree, or B Proc Experience and knowledge of SAP Advanced Excel skills 5 years of experience in a corporate contractual environment Other Competencies: Excellent communication skills Strong negotiation skills Attention to detail Effective time management Good administrative skills Supervisory/management skills
