Our client is seeking a skilled Control and Instrumentation Engineer to join the team. The ideal candidate will possess programming expertise with various automation platforms, particularly Siemens TIA Portal (Step 7), Siemens DCS PCS7, Rockwell, and Schneider systems. The candidate should also hold a BEng Degree in Electronic Engineering and have experience in design using E-Plan and AutoCAD software. This role involves designing, programming, testing, and maintaining control and instrumentation systems to ensure the efficient and safe operation of our processes. Responsibilities: Programming and Configuration: Develop and implement PLC, DCS, and SCADA programs using Siemens TIA Portal (Step 7), Siemens DCS PCS7, Rockwell, and Schneider platforms. Create and modify control logic, ensuring proper functionality and adherence to project requirements. Configure and fine-tune control algorithms to optimize system performance and reliability. Design and Documentation: Utilize E-Plan and AutoCAD software to design and layout control and instrumentation systems. Create detailed technical documentation including schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts. Ensure designs comply with industry standards and regulations. Testing and Troubleshooting: Conduct thorough testing of control systems to validate functionality and reliability. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to hardware, software, and communication networks. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to diagnose and address system anomalies. Project Management: Participate in project planning, defining milestones, and estimating resources required. Assist in project execution, ensuring deliverables are completed within specified timelines. Provide technical support to project managers and coordinate with other engineering disciplines. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance the efficiency, safety, and performance of control systems. Recommend and implement improvements to existing systems through technological advancements and best practices. Training and Support: Provide training to maintenance and operational teams on the proper use and maintenance of control systems. Offer technical support during installation, commissioning, and startup phases. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree (BEng) in Electronic Engineering or related field. Strong programming experience with Siemens TIA Portal (Step 7), Siemens DCS PCS7, Rockwell, and Schneider systems. Proficiency in E-Plan and AutoCAD for control system design. Knowledge of PLC, DCS, and SCADA systems, industrial protocols, and communication networks. Solid understanding of control theory, instrumentation principles, and process automation. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues. Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams. Attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently. Previous experience in a similar role within the manufacturing, process, or automation industry is a plus.
