Control Room Operator - Dundee
Key responsibilities:
Continuously monitor the status and performance of mining equipment using fleet management software
Coordinate the movement and activities of mining trucks, loaders, and other equipment to optimize productivity
Identify and troubleshoot issues with equipment or operations, escalating to maintenance or management as necessary
Ensure all operations adhere to safety regulations and company policies
Maintain accurate logs of equipment status, incidents, and other relevant information
Act as the central communication point between the control room and field personnel, providing clear and timely information
Generate reports on fleet performance, incidents, and other metrics as required
Work with maintenance teams to schedule and coordinate repairs and preventive maintenance activities-
Respond to emergencies and abnormal conditions in the fleet operations, ensuring swift and effective resolution
Minimum requirements:
A Grade 12 (Matric)
3 to 5 years experience as a Control Room Operator, preferably within the mining industry
Proficiency with fleet management software and other relevant technologies
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
High level of attention to detail to accurately monitor and log operations
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and coordinate with multiple stakeholders
Working in shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Certifications in mining operations, fleet management, or control room operations
