Conventional Machinist - Johannesburg
Minimum Requirements:
Relevant Technical Qualification (Fitter & Turner / Boilermaker)
Minimum 5+ years experience as a Conventional Machinist
Valid drivers license
Must be able to operate a forklift
Experience operating the Turret Mill, Blocking Mill, Lathe, CNC Profile Cutter and CNC Mill
Experience with Quality Assurance / Control Management
Duties / Responsibilities:
Operational efficiency:
Assist with welding, machining and other duties as required by management with regard to manufacturing.
Maintain company housekeeping standards during daily factory operations.
Attend monthly training as per training schedule.
Maintain good timekeeping practices.
Arrive for shift on time.
Timely tea and lunch breaks.
Good leave management.
Operating the turret mill, blocking mill, Lathe, CNC profile cutter, CNC mill.
Manufacturing of Spitzer clamps and enclosures.
Operating the forklift.
Quality Assurance and Control Management:
Complete all company required documentation timely, correctly including inspections, forms and records.
Communication:
Report all irregularities, near-misses and incidents to management within the shift when it happens.
Report required maintenance and irregular equipment functions to management immediately.
Continuous improvement:
Assist with decreasing the number of reoccurring non-conformances.
Assist and support with incident investigations.
