MARULA PLATINUM LIMITED INTERNAL/EXTERNAL ADVERTISEMENT COOK - B2 DATE OF DISTRIBUTION 20.02.2023 CLOSING DATE 01.03.2023 PURPOSE OF THE JOB: Responsible for preparing and directing the preparation of food to be served complying with all applicable sanitation, health and personal hygiene standards and following established food production programs and procedures. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS Grade 12 / NQF Level 4 is essential. Minimum of 2 years' experience in a Hotel, Catering and Hospitality environment is advantageous. Knowledge of various cooking methods is essential. Good understanding Menu specifications is essential. Good Communication Skills Planning o Organizing skills Valid medical certificate or be medically fit in order to obtain such certificate. KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS Provide prompt, courteous and professional hospitality services. Able to prepare food according to food handlers' guidelines. Able to do repetitive work. Knowledge of cooking procedures Maintain the quality and appearance of items. Label and date all food stored and rotate food as needed. Maintain cleanliness and safety in the work area. To ensure that there is Hygiene and Safety control by maintaining standards regarding food preparations.
