Corporate Actions II - Johannesburg

Job Purpose

Receive / source, plan, communicate, process, and validate assigned corporate events to ensure events are effectively processed and clients are informed, enabled to make appropriate elections, and receive entitlements for corporate events within prescribed deadlines and regulatory framework.

    • Ability to respond to client requirements, queries and complaints and log order entries into relevant company system.

    • Ability to identify & implement improvement opportunities considering inter-dependencies, trends, best practices, continuous assessment of processes, methods & systems, re-engineering, and re-design with stakeholders in mind & benefits/value realised.

    • Knowledge and understanding of the process and thinking required to formulate objectives and priorities and implement plans consistent with the long-term interests of the organisation in a global environment.

    • Deal or Trade Life Cycles
    • Exception Handling
    • Industry Knowledge
    • International Market Knowledge

Required Experience

  • Proficient with BANCS or similar Corp Actions processing system
  • Experience in a Corporate Actions environment and proficient financial market knowledge.
  • Experience managing a small team or projects
  • Dividend withholding tax in Security/Custody.
  • Broker or asset management
  • Knowledge of the following : JSE, Trade, Bonds, Money market etc
  • Transaction Settlement
  • Custody services
  • Processing Cash Dividends
Required Qualifications
  • Diploma: Banking
