Reference: CET003949-MO-2A well-established manufacturer located in the East Rand is urgently seeking a Cost Accountant to determine the overall manufacturing cost of the company's products. This critical role involves the continual analysis of product costs, the development of new product costs, and margin analysis to establish customer pricing. Management: Supervise the cost accounting system and cost ledger. Manage and upkeep standard and actual costs, reporting variances for informed decision-making. Oversee gross margin analyses concerning the company's products, inventory, and overall value. Validate month-end closure procedures for Cost of Sales (COS). Analysing & Writing Reports: Analyse manufacturing operations, equipment availability, and utilization. Conduct ongoing analysis of product costs, develop new product cost estimates, and perform margin analysis. Analyse overhead costs, labour recovery rates, and ROIs. Examine stock for aging, turnover, and accuracy of stock counts. Generate, analyse, and track product costing estimates for new and existing interpretations. Produce Capital Expenditure justifications and assist with funding applications. Support: Support Sales management in analysing pricing and profitability by customer, product, and other sectors. Assist Operations management in analysing Standard Costing, Actual Costing, Variance Analysis, and Stock Control. Contribute to the production of financial forecasts and budgets. Collaborate with sales teams and senior financial management to establish customer pricing. Support the procurement manager in cycle counts and wall-to-wall physical inventory counts, investigating variances. Assist the procurement manager in determining the value of inventory as it changes with market fluctuations. Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or a related field. CIMA qualification. Experience: Previous experience as a Cost Accountant in a manufacturing environment. In-depth understanding of business accounting procedures. Excellent computer skills. Advanced knowledge of Excel and accounting software. Strong proficiency in the English language and report writing. Effective time management. Keen attention to detail. Negotiable
