Duties: Crafting and maintaining accurate standard costs through a dynamic activity-based model, collaborating closely with procurement and operations to ensure precision in new product costings and updates to existing standards. Managing the seamless upload and monitoring of new and revised bill of materials, ensuring swift updates to bolster operational efficiency. Delivering insightful weekly reports on factory performance, offering nuanced analysis for the current month to empower informed decision-making. Monitoring and addressing open orders promptly, ensuring operational smoothness by tackling long outstanding orders. Executing month-end activities with finesse, including accruals, transaction cut-offs, and account validations, to uphold accuracy and integrity in financial reporting. Proactively identifying and addressing variances daily, collaborating closely with the cost analyst and escalating issues to site management as needed to minimize losses. Conducting monthly reporting and analysis of material variances, under/over recoveries, and continuous improvement projects, driving efficiency and cost savings. Supporting department heads with cost control, budgeting, and forecasting, providing invaluable insights and assisting with revisions or simulations as required. Ensuring transparency in cost-related decisions by communicating the financial impact of major strategic initiatives to stakeholders across the organization. Thoroughly evaluating capital and operating expenditures to ensure expected returns are realized through meticulous analysis and planning. Upholding internal controls and standard operating procedures to facilitate compliance and providing support during audits and assessments. Identifying and championing cost improvement opportunities, actively contributing to improvement projects and validating proposed savings. Reconciling and validating inventory, fixed assets, and related balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy and integrity in financial records. Participating in stock takes, adhering to standard operating procedures, and facilitating inventory management, including authorization of write-offs when necessary. Providing ongoing guidance and support to the cost analyst, reviewing outputs, and ensuring timely delivery to meet organizational needs. Job Experience and Skills Required: Completed CIMA FMCG Manufacturing industry experience will be advantageous Minimum of 3 to 4 years’ experience in a similar position Experience working on Oracle is beneficial Management experience is required If you are interested in this opportunity, please apply directly.
