Our Cape Town based client is looking for a talented Cost Accountant to join their fast-growing team and help drive financial success. As a key player in the finance department, you'll have the opportunity to analyse costs, streamline processes, and make strategic financial decisions that impact our business's success. Drive towards success with us, reach out to Stormsalixrecruitment.co.za Duties: Collect cost information and maintain an expenses database. Construct data accumulation systems. Plan and record variable costs. Review standard and actual costs for inaccuracies. Prepare budgeting reports. Analyse and report profit margins. Assisting in month-end and year-end closing. Identify and recommend cost-effective solutions. Job Experience & Skills Required: Qualifications: Matric (Grade 12) BCom Accounting / BCom Finance, or related field CIMA studying / qualified Experience: 3-5 years experience in cost accounting or similar role. Experience with financial modelling, forecasting, and budgeting. Skills & Competencies: Strong technical abilities in financial reporting, analysis, and management, including proficiency in accounting software and excel. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders. Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Knowledge of accounting principles and standards. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Will require travelling between different branches.
