Salt Our client is looking for a highly skilled Cost Accountant to join their finance department. As a qualified candidate, you'll be required to bring a strong background in financial analysis and reporting, with expertise in cost accounting principles, especially in Bill of Materials (BOMs) and Work-in-Progress (WIPs) management. In this pivotal role, you'll analyze their production costs, pinpoint areas for improvement, and drive strategies to enhance efficiency and profitability. Duties: Develop and maintain cost accounting systems, processes, and procedures. Analyse production costs and variances, including direct labour, materials, and overhead. Prepare and review monthly cost reports, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to monitor inventory levels and reconcile discrepancies. Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing insights into cost trends and projections. Conduct regular audits of manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies and cost-saving opportunities. Support management decision-making by providing timely and accurate financial analysis. Cost saving initiative Qualification and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Completed CIMA qualification is required. Minimum of 5 years of experience Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles, including BOMs and WIPs. Proficiency in financial analysis tools and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
