Astral is a leading integrated Poultry Producer with an exciting opportunity available for a Diesel Mechanic The ideal candidate would be responsible for: Maintain, Service and Repair all vehicles and equipment Fault finding on machinery and improvements Testing of all safety features and mechanisms Attend to breakdowns with urgency Ensure that company assets are clean and in a good working condition Maintaining the working areas to accepted standards, general housekeeping Maintain and adhere to Health and Safety Rules and Regulations in the workshop Participate in 20 Keys Projects The successful candidate must meet the following requirements: Matric Diploma in Mechanical Engineering is advantageous A minimum of 3 years’ experience working similar position Technical/ Mechanical Background is a must have Previous experience on Hino 300, 500, and 700 will be advantageous Fluent in English and a second official language Must be willing to work overtime and weekends as required Must be able to work independently and cope well under pressure Must have good communication, problem solving and planning skills Must have a valid Code 14 driver’s license Apply Now
