Astral, a leading Southern African integrated poultry producer has a Millwright (Refrigeration) opportunity at County Fair, Processing Plant in Fisantekraal. Astral, a leading South African integrated poultry producer, has Millwright (Refrigeration) opportunity at County Fair, Primary Processing Plant Fisantekraal. The ideal candidate would be responsible for: Perform routine and scheduled maintenance on the plant Attend to breakdowns on relevant machines, in dedicated areas Electrical and mechanical maintenance Attend to electrical and mechanical breakdowns of plant and machinery Dismantle, move, assemble, install and align equipment and machinery Ensure electrical reticulation is maintained in good working order Repair and lubricate machinery and equipment Fault finding and repairs in Ammonia plant Repair basic electrical circuitry and components and testing of units to evaluate electrical and mechanical operation New installations, modifications, upgrades and repairs to machinery and systems Maintain plant and equipment in a safe and acceptable overall condition Search & rescue in Refrigeration plant room in the unfortunate in the Ammonia release Standby for Foreman & Operators when necessary Implementing of 20 Keys/ HACCP/ Risk Control and apply general housekeeping rules The successful candidate must meet the following requirements : Millwright/ Electrical/ Refrigeration Trade Certificate (Section 13 and served apprenticeship) Minimum N4 qualification in the relevant field Wiremen's license will be advantageous PLC and VSDs certificate and experience will be advantageous Previous experience in a refrigeration plant, ammonia plant exposure will be a distinct advantageous Must be a team player but able to work with minimal supervision Willing to work shifts and overtime Fluent in English and an additional official language Verbal and written communication skills Basic computer literate Ability to work in a highly pressurized environment and deadline driven Must have own reliable transport
