Credit Analyst - Johannesburg
Job & Company Description:
A wealth management corporation is urgently looking for a Credit Risk Analyst to join their number crunching and vibrant credit team on a 12 months contract basis.
This role will require a specialist that will analyse the key credit risks associated with lending to corporate entities, with the intention of facilitating new and existing business
The key responsibilities for this role will include:
- Initial high level assessment of new deals
- Gathering all necessary information to put together a detailed credit proposal
- Meet with management of the borrower
- Assess and build base case financial models
- Operate within a credit risk framework, policies and procedures
- Identify trends and shifts in the credit risk profile of counterparties within the portfolio
As you will be required to hit the ground running extensive experience is essential.
The requirements:
Qualification:
- CA(SA) with completed board exams
Experience:
- 2 years post articles experience
- 2 years banking / financial sector experience
- Good knowledge of budget management and financial risk management
Skills Required:
- Excellent analytical and communication skills
- Excellent collaborative skills
- Ownership and accountability
