The main focus of this role is to review the customs documents of the entire portfolio of Company's current cleared shipments. The successful candidate would need to deal with a vast range of customs clearance documents and must be able to apply one's mind and extract important details, especially when the documents are in a foreign language. The candidate will be dealing with a vast range of ‘suppliers' and will need to be able to arrange and prioritize workload accordingly. On a practical level, this role involves: Checking the accuracy and validity of customs clearance documents (CCD's) through inspecting the document relative to the actual shipping documents, confirming the appropriate importer was used, appropriate product categorization was used and ultimately the correct taxes and duties were charged Communicating internally with the operations team regarding discrepancies from supplier charges and correctly invoicing clients Communicating externally with customs teams and suppliers University degree or diploma is essential A basic bookkeeping background is advantageous No previous experience in customs required - training will be provided Attention to detail Problem solving Good organisational skills Communication – both written and verbal Enthusiastic about working with people -Pro-active and willing to learn new skills University degree or diploma is essential A basic bookkeeping background is advantageous No previous experience in customs required - training will be provided
