Data Analyst - Johannesburg
The position involves being part of a project team consisting of an architect, project manager/analyst, and solution analyst. The primary objective is to unpack, access, and document an existing application within the Core Finance domain. The project heavily involves C# and Postgres technologies.
Problem to Solve: To identify, address, and document issues, gaps, and enhancements within the existing Core Finance application, leading to the delivery of comprehensive solutions.
Solution/Deliverable: The successful candidate will be responsible for defining detailed scope, identifying issues and gaps, documenting access and security protocols, completing application documentation, listing all known issues, and assessing current strategic initiatives.

- Evaluate Short/Medium Technical/Solution Goals
- Compile List of Stakeholders, Data Providers, and Consumers
- Define Agreed SLAs
- Review Current Engagement Model
- Assess VQ (Data) Breaks Process
- Develop Skills Matrix
- Unpack Possible Current Technology Stack Limitations
- Document Minion Reference Tables Ownership
- Analyze Trade & Account Conformance
- Document T&A Daily Processes and Solutions
- Define Support Requirements
- Assess Data Issue Portal and Processes
- Evaluate Performance Metrics
Requirements:
- Years of Experience: 6+ years
- Industry Experience: Finance Data Domain Knowledge (Experienced)
- Database Querying: Strong level (SQL, C#)
- Documentation: Writing/Reporting
- Communication Skills: Very good
- Technical Process Skills: Understanding
- System Integration Knowledge: APIs, XML, JSON, etc.
- Microsoft Suite/Confluence Knowledge
- Works well under pressure
- Software Development Lifecycle Understanding (BA, Development, QA)
- Data Analysis/Processing
Beneficial Skills:
- Finance/Banking/Product Knowledge (Experienced)
