Requisition Details & Talent Acquisition Consultant REQ 133003 - Keabetswe Modise Job Family Information Technology Career Stream Data Leadership Pipeline Manager of Self Professional Job Purpose As a BI/DW specialist you will be responsible for the analysis, design, development, enhancement, support and maintenance of the BI/DW environment using Microsoft SQL Server (database, SSIS, SSAS) and PowerBI tools. You will be required to understand and translate high-level requirements into working end-to-end solutions, as well as work with users to identify, reconcile and correct errors. Job Responsibilities Data analysis, data modelling, data integration, data warehousing and database design Support and maintenance of the BI/DW environment Design and develop/enhance ETL data transformation and data managementprocesses using SSIS and T-SQL Design and develop/enhance SSAS tabular models including DAX calculations Design and develop/enhance BI dashboards Data Modelling using Kimball data modelling principles (snowflake and star schemas) Work with the broader team to gather and analyse business and technicalrequirements Technical and support documentation (including technical specification, supportmanual and change management) Full lifecycle solution delivery, mostly in agile methods How you work You are proactive and interested in learning about new things You’re self-motivated to deliver your best work in a timely and effective way with minimal supervision. Skills Broad knowledge of database structures and designs Technical understanding of data models and BI principles Advanced SQL skills with the MS BI stack (T-SQL, SSIS, SSAS) Strong T-SQL and DAX experience Strong problem solving, analytical skills and attention to detail Ability to identify and correct/reconcile errors Ability to deliver solutions from high level requirements Solid experience designing and developing star schemas using Kimball methodologies Data related studies/certifications Desirable Previous experience with project metrics and project financials will be advantageous Experience building PowerBI dashboards Azure experience and knowledge Python language experience and knowledge Essential Qualifications - NQF Level Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees Essential Certifications Role related diploma/degree or equivalent certification and experience Minimum Experience Level Minimum 7 years’ experience designing and developing interconnected data solutionsusing Microsoft platform Must have experience with financial and/or project data Highly advantageous to have experience with JIRA, JQL, consuming REST API’ Technical / Professional Knowledge Cloud Data Engineering (Azure , AWS, Google) Data Warehousing Databases (PostgreSQL, MS SQL, IBM DB2, HBase, MongoDB) Programming (Python, Java, SQL) Data Analysis and Data Modelling Data Pipelines and ETL tools (Ab Initio, ADB, ADF, SAS ETL) Agile Delivery Problem solving skills Behavioural Competencies Decision Making Influencing Communication Innovation Technical/Professional Knowledge and Skills Building Partnerships Continuous Learning Please contact the Nedbank Recruiting Team at 27 860 555 566 Apply Now
