We are seeking an experienced AWS Data Engineer to join my client's team in Johannesburg for a 6-month contract with the possibility of renewal. This is an on-site role requiring daily office presence. About the Project: In this critical role, you will be responsible for migrating existing cloud infrastructure from a set of source AWS accounts to a new set of target accounts for my client's next project. This migration will involve making functional changes and enhancements, as well as implementing Terraform for infrastructure management in the target accounts. Key Responsibilities: Migrate data infrastructure components from source to target AWS accounts Enhance and optimize data pipelines, ETL processes, and ingestion workflows Implement Terraform for infrastructure as code (IaC) in the target accounts Set up CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps for efficient deployment Ensure proper data access, permissions, and security controls Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements Qualifications: Experience with AWS data services Proficiency in Terraform for cloud infrastructure provisioning Experience with Python and its use in data engineering pipelines Solid understanding of CI/CD practices and Azure DevOps Background in cloud DevOps and generic cloud automation skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment See Description See Description
