Responsibilities: Invoice Management Generate and send out invoices to clients. Ensure accuracy of invoices and update records accordingly. Collections Contact customers via phone, email, or mail to follow up on outstanding payments. Negotiate payment terms and plans with clients. Monitor and record all collections activities and payment agreements. Account Reconciliation Reconcile customer accounts to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted. Investigate and resolve discrepancies in accounts. Payment Processing Process incoming payments from customers. Apply payments to the correct accounts and invoices. Customer Relations Maintain positive relationships with clients while ensuring timely collections. Address and resolve customer queries and complaints regarding invoices and payments. Reporting Prepare regular reports on the status of outstanding debts and collections activities. Provide management with updates on the aging of accounts receivable. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all collections activities. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. Requirements: -Proven work experience as a Debtors Clerk (Collections focused) or similar role, preferably in a junior to mid level position. -Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices. -Proficiency in accounting software. -Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. -Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. -Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. -Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. -Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
