Demand & Supply Planning Manager - Red Bull - Table View

They manage the flow of supply to secure 100% Stock availability and efficient inventory levels. The Demand & Supply Planning Manager ensures alignment with company's financial (Hyperion) and sales (CPM) plans. They work closely with their peers in Red Bull South Africa to develop, implement and share best practices in alignment with PPL HQ.RESPONSIBILITIES Areas that play to your strengths All the responsibilities we'll trust you with: Expand all DEMAND PLANNING Responsible for analyzing the historical sales data, trends, base growth, distribution, market share and create/analyze a statistical forecast and determine the Operations Demand Plan in order to challenge/align with the Sales Demand Plan. Collaborate with Sales to understand the past performance of sales, drive root cause analyzes to understand error in prior periods and highlight inconsistencies the latest. Challenge the latest sales demand plan, to understand underlying assumptions and compare with the Operations Demand Plan. In collaboration with Sales, Finance and Operations, align on the consensus Demand Plan during the monthly Demand Planning Meeting and update/fill out/adjust the Demand Plan in the planning tools in accordance with the consensus. Foster collaboration and chair meetings with key customers (s) and/or distribution partner(s) to maintain knowledge of customers practices and achieve consensus forecast. Responsible for aligning/composing the Placement Forecast for Point-of- Sales items, identifying risks and opportunities to the operating plan and financial framework. Create a robust planning function to support continuous improvement for the Business. Support the achievement and reporting of forecasting (accuracy) targets. S&OP PLANNING Responsible for supporting the Ops Manager in driving the monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process and defining the meetings (structure and protocols), deadlines for finished goods products and VISIT/POS items according to the Global Guidelines. Based upon the consensus Demand Plan, generate the monthly local Supply Plan as input for the Global S&OP Process by defining the location split of the Demand Plan, define target stock levels, consider restrictions, etc. Implement the globally balanced S&OP in the local supply planning execution. Provide to the Operations Manager with a rolling forecast for 3PLs on inbound and outbound volumes. SUPPLY PLANNING / EXECUTION Translate monthly (globally balanced) supply plan to a weekly planning according to the guidelines, restrictions from Global Supply Chain Planning & Global Logistics HQ. Lead solutions findings and execution of demand and supply imbalances. Establish and manage inventory levels to ensure no out of stocks, inventory levels according to business plans and ensure healthy product age according to the quality guidelines. Alert to the Operations Manager in case of risks in inventory management and provide plan to reduce risks. Manage product transitions of new and phasing out SKUs. Manage 3PL rework and co-packing program together with Logistics manager to ensure 100% availability. Provide to the Logistics Manager a rolling forecast for 3PLs on inbound, storage and outbound volumes. Maintain and ensure accuracy of Material Master Data and Purchase Price Variance. Participate in the identification and assessment of the impact of changing the customer base. Related to VMI customers, track customers stock levels, create replenishment orders to ensure customers maintain the target days of supply and communicate to the customers changes in demand/supply providing excellent customer service. NEW PRODUCT INNOVATION (NPI) Provide insights to the OPS Manager to conduct fact-based portfolio management and to implement a yearly SKU portfolio review cycle. Collaborate with Finance & Sales to establish long term SKU portfolio management based on complexity and costs matrix. Collaborate with Marketing, Sales and Finance to form the leading team in NPI. PEOPLE Act as facilitator and coach to the Visibility Planner and Demand Planning Specialist. Support and develop cross functional skills of oneself, Planning and Operations team. Regular reviews and handling of disciplinary procedures as required. SUPPORT AND CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS Understand Red Bull values and role model these behaviours within the organization. EXPERIENCE Your areas of knowledge and expertise that matter most for this role: Demonstrated 5 plus years of experience working in areas of Demand & Supply Planning, Sales forecasting and Marketing activities. Comprehensive knowledge of retail accounts operations, forecasting technology, systems, market research data and supply chain management. APICS certification is a plus. Ability to develop relationships with other areas of the business particularly the Sales, Finance and Marketing teams. Proven ability to conduct complex, quantitative and statistical analyses complimented with qualitative inputs from multiple sources to draw conclusions and make recommendations. Strong leadership skills, can motivate and lead teams Deep knowledge and experience in SAP - ERP & Planning tools including IBP. Advanced MS Office skills, specially Excel and interactive data visualization software products with a primary focus on business intelligence. Self-motivated team member who can drive resolution to issues with strong problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills, including presenting and training. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business or related field with undergraduate statistical analysis or engineering focus - APICS certification a plus.
