We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Deputy General Manager for the Venue Country Hotel located just outside Hartbeespoort Dam. As the Deputy General Manager, the ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting the Hotel General Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the hotel. You will work closely with HODs (Heads of Departments) to ensure smooth and efficient operation of all hotel departments, including Front office, Housekeeping, Food and Beverage, and Maintenance. Key Responsibilities: Assist the Hotel General Manager in developing and implementing strategies to maximize revenue and profitability. Supervise and support HODs in managing their respective areas of responsibility. Monitor and evaluate guest satisfaction and address any issues or concerns in a timely and effective manner. Assist in budget planning and management, including analyzing financial reports and identifying areas for cost savings and revenue growth. Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and standards of service. Maintain a strong working relationship with employees, fostering a positive and productive work environment. Lead by example in providing exceptional customer service and creating a welcoming and hospitable atmosphere for guests. Assist in recruiting, training, and developing staff to ensure a high level of service delivery. Handle guest complaints and emergencies, resolving issues promptly and professionally. Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager. Qualifications: Grade 12 or equivalent qualification. A tertiary qualification in Hospitality Management or related field is preferred. Must have a valid driver's license and own reliable motor vehicle. At least 3 - 5 years of experience in hotel management, with a proven track record of leadership and success. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests, employees, and suppliers. Excellent organizational and time management skills, with a keen attention to detail. Proficiency in computer software applications, including Microsoft Office and hotel management systems.
