Network Engineer - Deputy Manager : Enterprise ITThe purpose of the Deputy Managers role is to reactively and proactively support and maintain the IT Network Infrastructure through effective incident management, proactive monitoring/alerting, capacity management, preventative maintenance and daily service tasks inclusive of management of reporting staff members.These tasks include but are not limited to:Maintaining and supporting the WNS business Network Infrastructure, which includes Cisco switch infrastructure and Fortinet firewall infrastructure.The suitable candidate should have extensive configuration and support experience in Cisco stack switching, routing (dynamic & static), vlan configuration, Network security, VPN configuration, IP Subnetting, Network monitoring and alerting, Cisco Wi-Fi and Service Provider/Vendor management, capacity monitoring/management, license and contract renewal management, device upgrades, configuration backup management etc.In-depth knowledge of WAN technologies for example MPLS and SDWAN.Working with Auditors and understanding principles of network hardening including Radius, Access lists, Port Security etc.Extensive Fortinet Firewall experience is required.Responsible for providing network support services to all departments and desktop users related to the operation of Network servicesRespond, diagnose and repair system faults within agreed SLA, ensure tasks are completed to a high standard and within agreed timescales.Ensure that incidents are escalated accordingly and efficiently to the Tier 3 IT Support Team.Maintain and manage service providers and ensure all tickets is resolved within SLA. Keep all network documentation and network drawings up to date and work closely with Global NMC team, making sure network is proactively monitored and all potential risk is identified and rectified in timely fashion.Ensure tasks are completed to a high standard and to agreed timescales.Experience in managing staff. Qualifications Qualifications: A Matric/Grade 12 Certificate or equivalentTertiary IT qualification (Required)CCNA, CCNP, CCIE or at least 5 years Cisco / Fortigate / Networking experience.
