Design Engineer - Fire Safety Industry - Johannesburg

RPO Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Design Engineer to join our client's team in the Fire Safety industry. As a Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing fire safety systems and solutions for a wide range of projects. Responsibilities: Design fire detection and fire suppression systems based on project requirements and applicable codes and standards Create detailed drawings, schematics, and specifications for fire safety systems Collaborate with clients, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure effective design solutions Perform calculations and analysis to assess system performance and reliability Review and evaluate fire safety regulations and codes to ensure compliance Conduct site visits and inspections to gather information and assess site conditions Participate in project meetings and provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle Stay up-to-date with advancements in fire safety technology and industry trends Requirements Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the design of fire safety systems Strong knowledge of fire protection codes, standards, and regulations Proficiency in CAD and other design software Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in a team and independently Attention to detail and strong organizational skills Professional certifications or licenses related to fire safety design (e.g., CFPS, NICET) are preferred Benefits Salary: negotiable Family Leave (Maternity, Paternity) Paid Time Off (PTO) (if applicable) Contact RPO Recruitment for our next career opportunity.
