Become a valuable addition to our team in the role of a Design Engineer in Mechanical Building Services. The job focuses on the design and development of construction projects, for building services such as HVAC and fire compliance and general mechanical building and plant design requirements. The position involves working closely with various members of a multidisciplinary project team, including architects, project managers, and contractors. The goal is to ensure that construction projects adhere to specifications and comply with building safety, reliability, and sustainability standards Develop mechanical building services project specifications and designs aligned with customer needs and design standards, utilizing tools like CAD, Revit, and BIMCollaborate with architects, contractors, and construction professionals to ensure the feasibility and compliance of engineering designs with client requirementsConduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses, ensuring the viability of new designs and construction techniquesMaintain thorough project documentation, including design reports, drawings, and specifications, while ensuring compliance with statutory regulationsOversee project execution to ensure timely, budget-friendly, and quality-compliant completion, collaborating with the multi-disciplinary teamIdentify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings, providing recommendations to senior project managementConduct regular project team meetings, offer guidance and support, and keep stakeholders informed of project progress and changes in planning and milestonesSkills & Experience: Possess a robust technical foundation in Mechanical Building Services engineering, coupled with outstanding design and problem-solving capabilities.Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of construction implementation processes, standards, and project management principles.Showcase excellent communication and teamwork skills, essential for success in this role.Exhibit proficiency in industry-specific software or tools such as ACAD, BIM, and/or Revit.Require experience with MS Office applications.Demonstrate the ability to work independently.Display leadership qualities by guiding and leading supporting staff. Qualification:BSc/BEng Degree or BTech (Mechanical)Registered with ECSA as a Professional EngineerAt least 10 years’ experience in engineeringMinimum Five (5) of the ten (10) years post professional registration (Pr Eng) should be in mechanical design experience including Construction Management Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered Contact Nonku Ndzondo on 021 418 1750, quoting the Ref: CTE025038.
