This critical position entails the supervision of design, procurement, and contract administration for road projects. We are actively seeking a highly proficient Design Engineer to enhance and fortify their dynamic team In this role, you will serve as a technical specialist focusing on pavement design and associated deliverables Responsibilities also include acting as the Employers Agent/Engineer in accordance with GCC2015/FIDIC, overseeing the compilation and review of project technical pavement deliverables, and managing a team of technicians and junior engineers Additionally, you will be responsible for compiling tender documents, supervising work in compliance with GCC 2015/FIDIC and COLTO/COTO standards and overseeing the pavement design and implementation of infrastructure projects, including other Roads-related designs Your role extends to the utilization of revenue-earning work, ensuring service excellence, applying Risk and Quality Management Principles and systems successfully, as well as chairing and minuting technical meetings Skills & Experience: The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 10 years of post-PR Eng registration experience, coupled with a track record of at least 10 years in pavement design standards and procedures A distinctive expertise in pavement design packages such as Rubicon, cncPave, and/or similar software is also essential, with a minimum of 5 years' hands-on experience in utilizing these specialized software packages Qualification: Bsc/BEng Registration with ECSA Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
