DESIGNATED AGENT – LADYSMITH & NEWCASTLE A vacancy exists for the position of Designated Agent in the Compliance Department of the National Bargaining Council for the Clothing Industry (KZN NON-METRO), Ladysmith and Newcastle area The successful applicant must have a thorough knowledge of the Labour Relations and the Basic Conditions of Employment Acts, including a thorough understanding of Collective Agreements. A CCMAaccredited postgraduate diploma in Industrial Relations will be an added advantage. The incumbent must be in possession of a valid driver's license, be fully computer literate in all Windows packages (Word/Excel/Access/PowerPoint), and be willing to travel throughout the province. Preference will be given to candidates who possess a Law Degree. The functions will include: -Enforcement of Council Collective Agreements - Attending to employee complaints - Inspection of registered companies - Investigating unregistered companies - Assisting companies in compliance and other related Bargaining Council matters - Attending conciliations and arbitration hearings - Attending to exemption applications - Writing of reports CVs containing references should be addressed to The Regional Secretary - KZN Chamber.
