The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the automation of software development and deployment processes. They will collaborate with software developers, system operators, and other IT staff members to manage code releases. The role involves monitoring system performance and troubleshooting issues in a timely manner.
Required Qualifications:A degree in Computer Science and certifications in Azure AWS K8s Docker are required. Strong knowledge of C# code skills, SQL DB skills, and experience with EKS, ECR, AKS, ACR is essential.
Education:Degree in Computer Science
Experience:Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within the Banking and Finance industry.
Knowledge and Skills:Proficiency in CI CD principles, Risk Management, Continuous Improvement and optimisation, and automation. Strong understanding of the full IT project lifecycle SDLC.
Preferred Qualifications:Additional certifications in DevOps tools and technologies would be advantageous.
Working Conditions:This position is based in Johannesburg Metro, Johannesburg, Bedfordview. The DevOps Engineer is expected to work full-time hours in a collaborative team environment within the Banking and Finance industry, with occasional requirements for off-hours support.
