Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, pneumatics, hydraulics, and trailer suspensions; Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment; Conduct thorough inspections to identify worn or damaged parts and components; Repair or replace faulty parts, including but not limited to brakes, cylinders, valves, hoses, and seals; Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards while performing all maintenance and repair tasks; Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair activities, including parts inventory and work performed; Collaborate with other team members to prioritise and complete work orders in a timely manner; Be available for standby duty and willing to work overtime as needed. Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic, with a minimum of 5 years in the field; Expertise in pneumatics, hydraulics, and trailer suspensions; Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines and related components; Familiarity with diagnostic tools and equipment used in the automotive industry; Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills; Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities; Ability to work independently and as part of a team; Valid driver's license and clean driving record; Willingness to work flexible hours, standby duty, and overtime as needed.
