Diesel Technician/ Mechanic - New Germany
KZN AUTO TRUCK & BUS is looking for an experienced Volvo and Mercedes Benz Technician/Mechanic. Salary basic is R25 000.00- R30 000.00 CTC per month, negotiable based on experience and perks Requirements: -Qualified Diesel Mechanic. - Must have own tools. - Must have experience on Volvo and Mercedes Benz trucks . - Minimum 3 years experience in maintenance and repairs of heavy duty commercial vehicles. - Ability to repair and service vehicles according to dealer standards within the time provided. - Ability to order the correct parts as per assigned job . -Ability to correctly fill out paperwork on job cards for work performed. -Ensuring work area is kept safe, clean and tidy. - Accounting for parts and tools used per job. - Managing consumable item usage . - Valid code 8 drivers license (Code 14 will be advantageous). Responsibilities: - Produce labor hours through maintenance and repair work. - Fault finding and diagnostics . - Servicing and maintenance of vehicles. - Interpret and implement directions in workshop manuals. - Compile accurate and detailed reports on diagnostics, assessment of parts and work carried out vehicles. -Attending to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic faults.
