Digital Marketing Manager - Cape Town City Centre

An award-winning safari expert has an exciting growth opportunity for an experienced Digital Marketing Manager to join thier team.

This role will entail developing the digital strategy (focus on social and excluding performance marketing), maintaining the brand’s online presence and driving set KPIs by working on various marketing campaigns. They are required to develop, implement and oversee long-term digital marketing campaigns and short-term advertising techniques through digital platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Build and execute digital media strategy through competitive research, audience insights, global trends, platform determination, benchmarking and brand messaging
  • Develop and manage digital campaigns from ideation to production to optimisation
  • Generate, edit, publish and share daily content (original text, images, video or HTML) that builds meaningful connections and encourages community members to take action
  • Optimize company social pages within each platform to increase the visibility of company’s social content
  • Moderate all user-generated content in line with the moderation policy for each community
  • Create editorial calendars and syndication schedules through the selected platform (I.e.Brandwatch)
  • Continuously improve by capturing and analyzing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices, and then acting on the information
  • Work closely and efficiently with the Marketing team, ensuring all social media communications are accurate and up to date with business timelines and priorities
  • Collaborate with other departments (customer relations, sales etc) to manage reputation, identify key players and coordinate actions
  • Execute monthly reporting and campaign reporting for all social media platforms

Requirements

  • Relevant digital marketing certification(s)
  • 3+ year experience in a similar role
  • Experience in running digital campaigns in a commercial environment
  • Experience in managing multiple campaigns across multiple platforms
  • Good writing, editing (photo/video/text), and designing skills
  • Good understanding of Google Analytics
  • Able to manage and report on campaigns through Brandwatch & Hootsuite
