You will be working as Digital Sales Manager and will be part of Process Automation business area for Energy Industries division based in Longmeadow, South Africa. In this role you will be reporting to the Sales Manager and will be responsible for leading the digital initiative for Southern Africa's Energy verticals, to grow the sales pipeline, strategic enterprise level customer account engagements, provide leadership on both digital transformation in the energy industry as well as consultative customer engagements and identify, create, develop close digital opportunities that scale across customer industrial enterprises, driving the opportunity from pain-point identification, solution-pilot to closing the broader industrial enterprise opportunity, engage in digital strategic account planning, pilot execution, coaching and enabling of key account teams and driving sales operating rhythm for digital pipeline. Able to articulate ABB digital value propositions to audiences ranging from regional operational teams to C Suite leaders. Your responsibilities Creating, planning and implementing a digital sales strategy and driving strategic sales and business development initiatives, in alignment with the local and global strategy, achieving digital sales targets in respect of both budgets and sales efficiency within the power, water, oil and gas and petrochemicals industries Meeting the sales target either by directly leading or by supporting key pursuits, identifying opportunities at existing and potential new customers within Sub-Saharan region, determining plans for acquisition, requesting and influencing resources to support the pursuits Supporting the development of strong relationships with key customers, building and maintaining strong relationships with key decision makers Ensuring efficient marketing communications, ensuring achievement of sales volume by setting appropriate sales prices and margins for all sales proposals and participating in the negotiations of key contracts Ensuring all staff and partners (under scope) understand ABB's core values and group safety and integrity standards and act accordingly Implementing and ensuring compliance with the ABB code of conduct, global and local standards, tools, policies and processes in their assigned area, ensuring adherence to all internal and statutory regulations and policies pertaining to the teams in scope Ensuring integrity and compliance with ABB values and ethics in all activities across all teams in scope, accountable for the health and safety of all employees and contractors for the teams in scope and continuous improvement in Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) processes and integrity performance Your background Bachelor's Degree in engineering tertiary qualification Minimum 5 years Electrical and Automation Systems/Projects Sales Experience and operational or sales experience within the power, water and oil and gas industries Minimum 3 years digital sales experience and sales management. Preference will be given to employment equity candidates.
